/Scope and who we are

Slash PR is a media placement practice that works exclusively with public relations and marketing agencies. This notice explains what personal information the Slash PR website collects, how that information is used, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to this website and to the partnership requests submitted through it. It does not replace the written engagement terms provided to partner agencies at onboarding, which address how commercial information is handled within a partnership.

The website is informational and is built to collect as little as possible. There are no accounts to create, no logins, no comment sections, and no client portal. The only personal information most visitors ever provide is what they choose to enter on the partnership form. If you only read the site, the information involved is limited to the routine technical data described below.

/Information we collect

Information you provide

When you ask to partner with Slash PR through the form on the contact page, the form collects the details you enter:

• your organization type;
• your agency's name;
• your agency's website address;
• your name;
• your role at the agency;
• your work email address;
• your answers to a few qualification questions: whether your agency places coverage today, your client count range, the number of placements you anticipate each quarter, and the press categories that interest you;
• an optional message, if you choose to write one.

You decide what to enter, and you are never obligated to complete the form. The qualification answers exist for one reason: they help us understand whether a partnership is a fit before anyone spends time on a conversation that is not.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when a page loads. These server logs typically include your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you request, and the date and time of each request. This information is recorded as a normal part of operating a web server; we use it to keep the site running, to diagnose problems, and to protect the site against abuse. It is not combined with your form submission to build a profile of you.

Information from other sources

When you request a partnership, we may look at your agency's public website, using the address you provided, to understand your practice and assess the request. That is the only outside source we consult. We do not buy data about you, we do not pull your information from data brokers, and we do not enrich your submission with third-party marketing databases.

/How we use information

We use the information described above only for the following purposes:

• to respond to your partnership request and communicate with you about it;
• to screen partnership requests and assess whether a partnership is a fit;
• to onboard your agency and set up the partnership, if we move forward together;
• to operate, maintain, and secure the website, including detecting and preventing abuse;
• to comply with legal obligations that apply to us;
• to enforce our Terms and protect our legal rights.

A person reviews each inquiry; we do not make automated decisions about you. We rely on this information because you have chosen to send it to us in order to explore a partnership, and, for the technical and legal purposes above, because operating a website securely and lawfully requires it. We do not use your information for any purpose not listed here.

/Cookies and similar technologies

This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising trackers, no tracking pixels, and no fingerprinting scripts. In practical terms, that means we do not measure your behavior on the site, we do not follow you across other websites, we do not build advertising profiles, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. Your browser makes ordinary requests to load the pages and their fonts, and the server logs described above are kept, but no technology on this site exists to track you.

Some browsers can send a "do not track" or similar signal. Because nothing on this site tracks visitors in the first place, the site does not change its behavior in response to such signals; there is no tracking to turn off.

/How information is shared

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. Information is shared only in the following limited circumstances:

• Form-handling service. Submissions from the partnership form are processed by a third-party form-handling service and delivered to Slash PR. Your form data passes through that service so that we can receive it; the service processes it on our behalf under its own terms and privacy policy.
• Hosting provider. The site is stored and served by a hosting provider, which keeps the server logs described above as part of operating the infrastructure.
• Web fonts. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, Google receives standard request data, such as your IP address and browser details, as part of serving the font files. That is how the fonts are delivered; we do not use it to track you, and we receive no information back from it about you.
• Professional advisers. If needed, we may share information with professional advisers, such as lawyers or accountants, under obligations of confidentiality, for the purposes described in this notice.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or an enforceable governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Slash PR, its partners, or others.
• Business transfers. If the practice is merged, reorganized, or sold, in whole or in part, information may be transferred to the successor as part of that transaction. Any successor remains bound by the commitments in this notice, or must give you notice of a new one, and the confidentiality owed to partners carries over with the practice.

Each service provider handles data under its own terms and privacy policy, and we share with them only what is needed to operate the site and respond to you.

/Data retention

We keep the information you submit for as long as we need it to handle your request or, if a partnership proceeds, to maintain the partnership, and then we delete it. If a partnership does not proceed, we do not hold your inquiry longer than needed to conclude the conversation. Server logs are kept for a limited period as part of normal site operation and are then discarded. Where the law requires us to keep certain records for longer, for example for accounting or legal purposes, we keep only what is required, for only as long as required, and it remains protected by this notice for that period. If you ask us to delete your information and we are not required to keep it, we will.

/Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information you submit, and we rely on our service providers to protect the systems they operate. Access to submitted information is limited to those who need it for the purposes described in this notice. That said, no website, server, or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. The most meaningful protection on this site is structural: it collects very little, keeps it briefly, and shares it narrowly, so there is little to expose in the first place.

/Confidentiality, both ways

Discretion runs in both directions in this practice. Just as we ask partners to keep the rate card and outlet portfolio confidential, we treat the identity of a partner agency, the fact that it works with us, and the details of its inquiries as confidential. We do not name partners or their clients in marketing, we do not publish client lists or case studies that identify them, and we do not disclose that an agency has even approached us. That is consistent with how the practice operates: engagements are carried out under the agency's own brand, and Slash PR stays unnamed in the work.

/Your rights and choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have submitted, or to stop processing it for a particular purpose. You can also object to a use of your information or ask what we hold about you. Depending on where you live, data protection laws may give you additional rights, such as a right to receive a copy of your data in a portable format or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; where those laws apply to you, we will honor the rights they provide.

To make any request, use the contact page. We may need to verify that a request comes from the person it concerns before acting on it. We will respond within a reasonable time and consistent with applicable law, and we do not discriminate against anyone for exercising their rights: making a request will never affect how a partnership request is evaluated. You are never obligated to complete the partnership form, and you may ask us to stop contacting you at any time. Because the site collects so little, most requests are straightforward to fulfill.

/International visitors

The website can be visited from anywhere, and the service providers that operate it, including the hosting provider, the form-handling service, and the font provider, may process data in countries other than the one you are in. Those countries may have data protection rules that differ from the rules where you live. By using the site or submitting the partnership form, you understand that your information may be processed where our service providers operate. Whatever the location, the commitments in this notice apply: the same narrow purposes, the same limited sharing, and the same retention practices.

/Children

The website is intended for professional use by PR and marketing agencies and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through the site, please contact us through the contact page and we will delete it.

/Links to other sites

The website may link to other websites, and the practice materials shared with partners may reference third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of other sites. When you follow a link away from this site, the destination's own privacy policy governs what it collects, and we encourage you to read it. This notice applies only to this website.

/Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time, for example if the site's providers change or the law requires it. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the date shown above. Changes take effect when they are posted. If a change meaningfully expands what is collected or how it is used, we will make that change prominent on this page rather than bury it.
